A spicy, rye-rich bourbon. Quite tannic and fairly peppery, with a heavily woody flavor profile and a hint of maple.

Allt-A-Bhainne                                                  £3.85
A relatively young Scotch whisky distillery, Allt-a-Bhainne (pronounced Altavane) was founded in 1975 to produce whisky to go into the Chivas Brothers blends. While that is still its main purpose, the occasional single malt bottlings that do appear show that it's a spirit that shouldn't be ignored.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie                                         £3.85

Scallywag
A vatted malt made from Speyside whiskies, including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes. Many of the whiskies used in the small batch release come from Spanish sherry butts, giving Scallywag a fab sweetness that's balanced by some "mischievous" bourbon cask whisky also in the blend.

Shackelton
A blended malt scotch based on the spirit supplied to the 1907 british antarctic expedition. Expertly crafted using a selection of the finest highland single malt scotch whiskies. A modern scotch with warm aromas of vanilla, toffee apple, cinnamon and ginger.

The spelling 'whisky' is generally used for whiskies distilled in Scotland, Canada, Australia, Japan and Europe,

while 'whiskey' (spelt with an 'e') is used for the spirits distilled in Ireland and America.
